Lara Wetlands is a 15,000 acre stationstay is 28 kms south of Barcaldine or 78kms north of Blackall in Queensland. The 13km drive off the highway is a good dirt road for all 2wd and 4wd vehicles.
It is an idyllic bush campspot that is well set up around the wetlands that has abundant birdlife & wildlife and is a photographers joy.

Sunrise and Sunset’s are just amazing with the reflections on the water.
There are unlimited tranquil shady unpowered campsites around the wetlands, that welcomes all van sizes, mobile homes and tents.
Many stop for a night or two and stay for a week or longer.

Camp fees are per person per night, there is a nightly family package available, and no Eftpos facilities as the mobile phone range is limited.

The large camp kitchen can cater for large groups and is located by the natural thermal artesian spa pool and kids playground.

There are flushing toilets, hot showers, dump point and wood available for your camp fire.
The Homestead Tour of the 1912, 6 bedroom homestead is a great insight into the history of this beautiful property. Please check on arrival when the tour is running.
